What is an Assessor

To support our robust quality requirements Cotswold Assessments Certificates of Competence Assessors must have relevant industrial experience and hold the qualification they plan to assess. They must also undertake continuing professional development and have an appropriate first aid qualification.

Independent Assessment

To qualify as an Independent Assessor, there is a detailed training course with rigorous assessment to ensure that the assessor has the skills and knowledge required to accurately assess competence in vocational skills relevant to equine flight attendants transporting horses by air. They also learn about the principles which underpin the assessment of these vocational skills, together with quality assurance.

Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance of our approved Assessors is achieved through

  • Rigorous assessor training and approval
  • Technical Verifiers then auditing the assessors’ work, observing and monitoring them carrying out real assessments to ensure that the standard of assessment is maintained to a consistent standard across all assessors and all countries of the world, that is neither below nor above the standard required
  • Therefore, the qualifications have a consistent high standard wherever delivered
